You may have heard about the tattoo artist who is adding a tattoo to his body every day of “lockdown”. When I read about the question he has inked on the sole of his foot, ‘When will it end?’, it made me think about the inability of mankind to answer that question… whether we are politicians, doctors, scientists, or whatever our occupation is.
There is only one who can answer ‘when’ and to what extent ‘it’ will end, and that is God. You may question, why has God allowed Covid-19 to become a world pandemic? We can’t answer that question but what we do know, from the bible and from personal experience is that God, the creator, is in ultimate control and He cares for and loves every single person in the world.
Why not respond to that amazing awesome God, who sent His son, Jesus Christ, into the world to give His life for us? If you repent, turn away from your sin and believe He died instead of you, trusting Him to be your Saviour, you will have a relationship with the God of heaven. You will then know that whether your life is long or short, the ‘end’ whenever that might be, will be an eternity in God’s heaven, not suffering the judgement that is deserved by each of us. This is a verse from the Bible: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3v16). Now read it again and exchange the word, ‘world’ with your own name.
