About Us

Welcome

We are Christians who meet on a regular basis. We believe that the Bible is God's Word and seek to meet according to it's teaching. We do not take any denominational name. We simply gather unto the name of the Lord Jesus.

What We Believe

  • There is One God who is the Creator of Everything "In the beginning God created"

  • There are three persons in the One Godhead-Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • The Bible is God's Word to humanity and is the only authority for what we preach and practice "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"

  • The Lord Jesus Christ is God. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (described in this quotation from the Bible as 'the Word')

  • We are sinners and deserve to be punished, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" and "the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

  • Jesus was truly a Man, and yet never ceased to be what He had always been.

  • Jesus came to this earth and lived a perfect life with no failure or sin. “Who committed no sin, Nor was guile found in His mouth” . . . "in Him there is no sin".

  • He had to die, taking the judgment of God for sin so that God could maintain His holy and righteous character and yet still forgive our sins. "when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him" "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

  • Jesus Lives Today "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore" God raised Him from the dead and He is now in Heaven

  • Mankind must turn from their sin (repent) and place faith in Christ. "God... now commandeth all men every where to repent", "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved"

  • Once Saved we should be baptised "Then they that gladly received his word were baptised" and gather with other Christians

  • Salvation is eternal "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

  • The spirit of God indwells all believers "having believed you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise"

  • Jesus is coming again as He said "I will come again"

The Gospel

The Gospel is the GOOD NEWS that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.

The Bible tells us 'All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.' God is perfect and cannot allow any sin into Heaven. We can do nothing by ourselves to gain God's favour or forgiveness. God sees all our good works as 'filthy rags'. This means we all deserve God's judgement.

However, the GOOD NEWS is that God is also a God of love. The Bible tells us “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"(John ch.3v16). Just over two thousand years ago, God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ into this world. He came into this world to deal with the problem of Sin. To do this He allowed men to take Him, place Him on a cross, and then God judged His Son for the sin of the world. On the cross, before Jesus died, He said 'It is finished'.

God has provided a way so we can be saved from the punishment we deserve.  If we turn from our sin and come to Him in faith, believing that Jesus died for us and rose again, we can know God's forgiveness and have eternal life.
