Who would have thought a few months ago that our lives would have been so disrupted in recent days due to a virus? Our hearts go out to those who have suffered the loss of a loved one as a result. Scientists and specialists across the globe are looking for a vaccination as a remedy to alleviate the problem. As deadly and disruptive as the Covid-19 is, the Bible tells us of a problem that affects 100% of the population… SIN (All have sinned. Romans 3v23). Not only does it affect our daily lives, it separates us from a Holy God – not just for this life, but for eternity (Your sins have separated you and your God. Isaiah 59v2).
Thankfully, God has provided a remedy (For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3v16). Jesus Christ, God’s Son, died upon a cross at a place just outside of Jerusalem called Calvary, paying the penalty for sin (The just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God. 1 Peter 3v18).
Individuals who acknowledge and turn from their sin, believing that Jesus Christ died for them and putting faith in Him, are saved (sins forgiven). This means that they are ready for Heaven in the future to be with God and able to enjoy a relationship with God and His Son, Jesus Christ right NOW!
Take care and look after yourselves, but please think at this time, not just about your physical health but the health of your soul (the real you).
